International Yoga Day celebrated around the world

The United Nations declared June 21 as the International Day of Yoga. This day is designed to bring people of different ages, faiths, nationalities and cultures and give them an opportunity to practice meditation to expand consciousness and to change the perception of life. Here, each participant is important because they form the immensely large community.

Yoga - a physical, spiritual and mental practice, existing for more than 5000 years, which aims to transform the body and spirit. Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi shared with the UN General Assembly the following statement:

Yoga - an invaluable gift of our ancestors. This practice embodies the unity of body and spirit, thought and action, restraint and fullness, harmony between man and nature. This scholastic approach to health and well-being. Yoga - it's not just an exercise, it is an opportunity to open a sense of unity with himself, the world and nature.

June 21 - a perfect day for such a case, because it is the summer solstice, and therefore, the longest day of the year. It adds Narendra, this has its own symbolism for many countries.
