The facts that we know from school and who have ceased to be true

Things change over time. And even those facts that you once thought concrete, after some time may change. And there are those statements that you portrayed the school is not quite correct, because the truth can be much more complicated than can understand the student.

Below are the facts that are either changed over time, or were given to you is not true in the learning process.

In the past: America gained its independence July 4, 1776.

Now: America officially became independent seven years later, in 1783.

Every year on July 4, Americans celebrate in a big way on Independence Day. And though the Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4, 1776, America is still not free from British rule until September 3 the Treaty of Versailles was signed in 1783. That's when America became independent.

Before: Pluto - a planet.

Now: Pluto - not a planet.

Since the end of the 1800s knew about the potential existence of the ninth planet. In 1906, astronomer Percival Lowell even started a research project, whose goal was the discovery of the mysterious "Planet X".

Even if you have not read "The Crucible" by Arthur Miller, you probably believed that the citizens of Salem witch burned at the stake. Now: American students have debunked this myth by using toilet paper.
