Achievements Khabir at the junior level were not very significant in international tournaments, he was marked by a bronze at the European Championship. The truth is in the country, he was twice champion in the age group up to 23 years.

The first victory of

Clicking on an adult level, Tagir Khaibulaev began to work hard to realize his dream - the participation in the Olympic Games, which was to be held in Beijing in 2008. However, he failed to pass the national selection and very worried about it. He even visited the idea to finish with the sport, but with the help of relatives Tagir managed to pull myself together and went to work. The first big victory came to him in 2009. He rode at the European Championship in Tbilisi in the status of "dark horse", no one seriously counted on a little-known judo, but in the category of up to 100 kg, he was unstoppable and won the final victory, becoming the champion of the continent.

A few years later he was already considered one of the favorites at the World Judo Championships in Paris and confirmed their status, reaching the final. Here he was waiting for the world champion 2009 Maxim Rakov from Kazakhstan. Everyone was waiting for a bitter fight, but Iagir Khaibulaev spent beautiful and lightning reception, won a clear victory - ippon.

Olympics 2012

2012 Olympic Games have become a major tournament in the life of the Dagestan athlete. He came to London only to win and tried to prove it is at the starting stage, gaining a confident victory. But already in the quarterfinals Khabir Khaibulaev faced with serious resistance in the face of Czech Lukas Krpaleka. He has held several successful techniques and took the lead. Tagir himself could not get close to the opponent, but in a moment, Lucas was faster and overthrew the giant to the mat, won a landslide victory.

The most serious opponent for Avar became Dimitri Peters, who plays for Germany. The semifinal match was very sticky and heavy. Huge German several times dangerously pinched Dagestani in the arms of the dead, but then Khaibulaev warmed up and took the initiative. The main and extra time ended with no results, and the fate of the match was determined by the judge, who was named the winner of the Russian athlete.
