88-year-old Justo Gallego Martinez literally living on a building site. He single-handedly builds its own cathedral, without drawings of appropriate education, investment and support of the official church.

The Cathedral of Don Justo is located in the small Spanish town of Mejorada del Campo. A huge building with a 40-meter dome will be completed not soon.

Justo Martinez never studied any architecture or civil engineering. He draws ideas from the drawings of medieval religious buildings.

The idea to build his own temple came to Justo head after he had to leave the monastery.

Justo had to leave the monastery because of illness, but he found another way to dedicate his life to serving the Lord.

Justo Gallego Martinez sold and rented properties available to him, to raise money for construction. On the remaining plot of land, he began building the cathedral in the literal sense of all that he was able to get. Its cathedral is often written in the media, that only adds the number of visitors.

Justo used empty gasoline cans as the foundation for the columns. In the course were wire reinforcement pieces and even the old cardboard boxes.

Justo lives in his newly built cathedral for several decades. Every day he wakes up at 3.30 in the morning and work all day.

Visit Cathedral and everyone can. The main gates are open from morning to night.

Justo Gallego Martinez does not take an entrance fee, but anyone can donate money to build, and people do it with pleasure.

Construction of the cathedral will not end soon, but the general appearance of the building already makes a strong impression.

Cathedral in the town of Mejorada del Campo became the personal monastery of Don Justo, his church, his home and his life.
