On the ground, a lot of salt, but rarely where it lies on the surface just like that. More often than not its production of stone deposits or salt water requires considerable effort. The process creates unique landscapes: caves with high arches, underground lakes, terraced hills with colored water pools. Some of the salt production places have become tourist sites and turned into concert halls, museums and health resorts, while others operate on a basic purpose today. In this collection you can see the salt mines and evaporation ponds from around the world.
