Albino Animals
• Animals Albino
I'm sure many constantly hear the word "melamine", though do not know exactly what it is. Melanin - the pigment that is found in the eyes, hair and skin of animals and humans. This pigment is responsible for the color of the parts of our body and is divided into two types - eumelanin and pheomelanin. The first type protects us from ultraviolet rays and gives a brown-black color iris, hair and skin. Pheomelanin imparts a red or pink hue and more common in lighter animals and humans, for example in red. This kind of melanin gives color to the lips, nipples and even freckles. The color of our hair, eyes and skin varies depending on the amount of melanin in the body, and the percentage of its two types.
But what is albinism? This genetic mutation, which is characterized by a lack of melanin synthesis and is inherited. Albinos are very sensitive to sunlight. In the world of wildlife rarely seen albino, but animals with leucism more common. When leucism melanin is synthesized but does not get to all parts, which are usually painted: eyes, hair or skin - because there is not enough relevant cells. Most white animals is leucism, and the main difference - the lack of a strong sensitivity to sunlight.
Before you - the proof of the bizarre nature of wildlife. Will you be able to guess in which cases the photographs - animals albino?
